Before you apply

A work relationship is a partnership where both parties should match. Find out if working at Purple Lamp is a good fit for you and if you fulfill our formal requirements before applying.

Hands-on

We are looking for people who are self-motivated and constantly improve themselves. We have a strong emphasis on education and learning within the company. Be open to discovering and unlocking new skills.

Communication is key

Our team is international and divers. You have to be able to communicate with people from all parts of the world. Your English skills must be good enough to be able to express your ideas and thoughts and you need to be able to understand and adjust to cultural differences.

Think out of the box

Producing a game is a team effort and involves different departments with different perspectives. Each team member needs to contribute with that mindset, for example programmers need to be able to understand the way of thinking of designers, designers need to take into consideration artists’ thoughts and everyone needs to be aware that a QA’s brain works differently.

Partial Home office

Our teamwork is better and our projects shine even brighter if people personally know each other and talk to each other face to face. We want people to meet and socialize in the office. Nevertheless we offer home office, but we are not supporting pure remote work.

Formal requirements

To work in Austria, either having European citizenship or a work and residence permit is required. If you have either of those, then there is no legal hindrance to join us.

Living in Vienna

For working with us, you need to have the commitment to move to Vienna – and that is for sure not a bad thing! Being named the best city in the world to live in by Mercer in 2023 for the 11th consecutive time, we can only recommend seeing it for yourself.

“Our” Vienna is truly a magnificent city to live in!

The cultural heritage covers imperial architecture as well as famous musicians. These days you can still enjoy amazing performances in incredible venues.

With a city center filled with shopping streets and green parks, Vienna is able to cater for all tastes. Public transport is top notch, as well as the city’s infrastructure.
